Keeping Kids Busy!

What is guaranteed to provide a minimum of an hours worth of entertainment for your child? That isn't electronic? Play dough!!

Since Faith is feeling much better, (even opted to do school work today) I decide to break out the home made play dough recipe. It has been a really long time since I've made this, but I always have the ingredients on hand.

It can get a little messy for the parent.

But it is fun for the children!

I seriously suspect that the older 2 kids are considering joining in the fun when their school work is done.

Here is the recipe if you are interested:
Home-made Play dough
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Salt
2 Tbs. Cream of Tartar
1 Tbs. Oil
1 Cup Water
Food Coloring
Over medium heat combine dry ingredients and oil. Slowly add water. Stir until ball formed and pulling away from sides. Kneed with food coloring. Stores well in plastic bag or air tight container.

  1. Hi! I found your blog off Catholic Mothers and had two questions for you :) First, what homeschool curriculum do you use and also would you mind sharing the recipe for those bagels you made? ;) Thanks! Looking forward to reading your posts! :)

  2. Angela, Nice to "meet" you. Thanks for the comment and for checking out my blog. Here is the link to the bagel recipe I used: http://hubpages.com/hub/Homemade_bagel_recipe_Make_great_nadrolled_water_bagels__its_as_easy_as_baking_a_loaf_of_bread
We use http://Setonhome.org for our home school curriculum. The kids are completely enrolled. We've used them right along. Any questions I'd be happy to answer however I can. God Bless!
