Small Successes

FaithButton

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
  1. Actually got the bibs I knitted for my great niece into the mail. Only a day after finishing them!
  2. Got a lot of work done on the sweater I'm knitting for my sister Suzanne. Although she is here visiting until tomorrow, I'm not sure if it will be finished by the time she leaves. With the visit I'm not able to sit and knit. Would rather be more like Mary than Martha on this one.
  3. Took the time to "spring" clean my son's room. I try to make my kids responsible for their own rooms. Not only is it good for them, but it relieves some housework burden for me. (More time to knit! LOL) But, it is important for me to make time to do a thorough cleaning myself on occassion. Especially when it involves a 15 yo boy!! Tah hee hee!

  1. Great job! Seems like mailing something should be the easy part after making something. But I have the same problem here!

Number 3 worries me though....you mean this "spring" cleaning of the boys' rooms doesn't end (hehe)- I was so hoping it would at some point :)

  2. I've always wanted to learn to knit, but down in the Deep South where we see snow maybe every third year, it's just not as necessary as I could wish.

    Kudos to you. =)

  3. I don't know why, but mailing things always seems like a big production to me. Maybe it's because sending out a package requires a trip to the post office. Great successes this week!

  4. Oh, Haus Frau! Haven't you ever heard of cotton? Or silk? And, cold or not, ya'll still wear socks, right? And baby toys can be knit. And wash cloths. And table cloths. And sunhats.....

The lesson here? Never give a knitter excuses for why you can't knit. They will never buy it. :)

  6. Deep cleaned a 15 year old boy's room? That's not a small success, ma'am. That's heroic virtue!
